Summertime Blues and Ice Cream Cake

So far, summer has kind of been a drag. Im so tired of this...

So ready for this...


On a brighter note, yesterday was my BiRtHdAy!!! Yep, I'm officially 22! (crazy)
and my awesome roommates and my awesome fiance surprised me with my very own cold stone ice cream cake...yuuummyy!

About a month ago Stephen and I took a trip to Cold Stone and I told him all I wanted for my birthday was one of their ice cream cakes, because I am so in love with everything they have there! Being the awesome guy he is, he came through on the deal.
I also got a box from home full of cheerwine (eee:)) brownie mix, and a hilarious card! I love my family and friends...I am such a lucky girl:)

Yep, its true! Stephen and I are engaged!!!! So happy, everything is perfect except I could kick myself for not taking any pictures of us that night:( Oh well, he makes me a happy girl:)

Shout Out...

Today I just wanted to give a shout out to a few people I have been feeling especially appreciative of lately...
The first is my mama:) With yesterday being mother's day, she has really been on my mind the past few days. I know everyone says this about their moms but I really don't think I could have asked for a better one! She as taught me so much and believed in me every second! She and I have had our moments but I hope she knows how much I love and respect her! She is beautiful and talented and she would do anything for her family---that is what I admire most about her! I love you mama!!!
I also wanted to give a "shout out" to my roomates. They are some of the most amazing girls I know! I was thinking yesterday about how different we all really are but I love them to pieces and I am especially grateful lately for the example they set for me! This is my last semester at school and even though living with FIVE other girls has its challenges:)...I am really going to miss it!
...I am such a lucky (blessed:)) girl...

Dancing with an Alien

Everytime I start a new post, I never know what to title it! Even when I know exactly what I want to say in that post. Today I am just writing becaust it has been a while and Im not really sure the direction this post is going to take...so it was especially hard to choose a title! When I clicked the cursor into the title area, a list of things had come up that have recently been typed into this computer (the computer at work that I share with other secretaries) and this title, 'Dancing with an Alien' caught my eye! I wonder who 'googled' this and what it is! Is it a movie, a book? I'm not really sure. But it sounded interesting and since this post is a little boring, I though it would livin it up:)
Well, lately things have been very busy...
I was able to go home for the break in between semesters. It was so good to see family, the weather was perfect. I even got to spend a few hours sitting on the beach in Charleston! I love it there!!! When I came back to school, things began to get busy again! I am graduating this semester and even though I only have 10 credits I feel stressed about school all of the time! Like I can't get ahead...but soon it'll be all over with:) I'm also working more hours this semester than I have ever worked while in school. Im very thankful for such a wonderful job ...yesterday President Clark came to the Counseling Center (where I work)so that was exciting to get to meet him. Stephen and I are still dating...he's a sweetheartand I loovee him:)
So, overall things are great and I am very happy!
Next time, I'll try to keep it a little more interesting...until then...

L-O-V-E

I had to blog about this past weekend. It was such a good weekend for me! First of all it was Valentine's Day on Sunday and Stephen was soo sweet to me all weekend (he is always so good to me but he was extra nice this weekend). Also, my sister Katie came up to visit me from Provo. It is always so fun to see her!

So...for Valentine's Day Stephen and I had similar ideas for what to give each other.
Saturday night I decorated Stephen's room while he was at work (with the help of my Katie of course)...





I think he really enjoyed it and had NO idea that I was going to do that (or so he says).

Then, when I got home from church on Sunday, this is what I found...


He left me hershey kissses sprinkled all over my floor and my bed along with these gorgeous flowers...


And my favorite part was this stuffed dog...

...I've never really been a big fan of giving or getting stuffed animals but I gotta be honest, I love it! It's soo soft and cuddly:) Stephen also gave me a really sweet card with a L-O-V-E note inside:)

Needless to say, Valentine's weekend was GREAT!

Sweet Summertime

So the weather today in Rexburg was actually kinda nice but I got my first real taste of Spring Fever! I cannot wait for summertime...it is my favorite time of year by far! So, since I was slack on blogging this past summer I though I'd give a quick run through of some things I did....

Can't forget the beach trip (no pics of that right now) and I also got to go to Charleston(one of my favorite places) with my momma(one of my favorite people) to visit Brittany(one of my BEST friends) who lives there now (no pics of that either). Overall my summer was so fun! I miss it and even though I will be in Rexburg this summer, I still can't wait for it to come!
